Why does my Brother ZE-855A Sewing Machine skip stitches?

Skipped stitches can occur for several reasons. The needle tip may be bent or blunt, requiring replacement. The needle might not be installed correctly, or the machine may not be threaded properly; ensure both are done correctly. The presser foot pressure may be too weak, or the needle may be too thin, requiring adjustment or replacement with a thicker needle. The presser foot might be too high, the needle and rotary hook timing could be incorrect, or the thread tension spring may be too weak, each requiring adjustment.
