Characteristics
3.1 Frequency Characteristics
Over the frequency range 100 Hz to 10 kHz the sound power level of the Type 4204 is above
70 dB re 1 pW in each 1/3-octave band (see Fig. 3.1). The Type 4204 can operate either from a
50 Hz or 60 Hz mains supply. The instrument is very stable, the output power varying less than
± 0,5 dB over the operating temperature range –10 to + 50°C. The typical A-weighted sound
power level with a 50 Hz and 60 Hz mains supply is 92 dB and 96 dB (re 1 pW) respectively.
