Why are the glass panes on my Brunner Indoor Fireplace often dirty?

Dirty glass panes in your Brunner Indoor Fireplace can be caused by several factors. One reason might be unsuitable fuel, such as damp wood or firewood pieces that are too large; use the recommended fuel as indicated in the instructions. Another cause could be insufficient combustion air supply; in this case, put the combustion air adjuster into ‘fire starting’ or rated power position and check the combustion air supply and smoke outlet. If possible, contact your fireplace contractor. Finally, insufficient chimney draft can also lead to dirty glass; contact your chimney sweep.
