3.1 Application
The machine is intended for the suction of gases which contain a high percentage of wa-
ter vapour.
Other agents should not be transported. In case of doubt, please contact your Busch
representative.
3.2 Standard Accessories
3.2.1 Gas Ballast Valve
The gas ballast valve mixes the process gas with a limited quantity of ambient air to
counteract the condensation of vapour inside the machine.
The gas ballast of the Aqua version has a larger air volume flow than a standard R5.
The gas ballast valve has an influence on the ultimate pressure of the machine, see Tech-
nical Data [►8].
3.2.2 Thermostatic Valve
It allows to fix a higher operating temperature than a standard R5.
3.2.3 Temperature Switch "Oil"
The temperature switch monitors the oil temperature of the machine.
It has two switch points.
Depending on the oil type, the machine must be stopped when the oil reaches a certain
temperature, see Oil [►8].
3.3 Optional Accessories
3.3.1 Inlet Filter
The inlet filter protects the machine against dust and other solids in the process gas. The
inlet filter is available with a polyester cartridge.
3.3.2 Water Separator
It allows to retrieve a certain amount of condensate at the machine exhaust. It is
equipped with a drain plug at its bottom.
