9 Operator Responsibilities
You have purchased a product that is durable and easy to service.
However, all technical equipment requires regular servicing in order to
guarantee optimal functionality.
The unit must be regularly inspected and serviced by the operator to
guaranteefunctionalityandfullthewarrantyconditions.
Wearing parts must also be replaced after the prescribed maintenance
intervals in order to guarantee functionality and full the warranty
conditions:
9.1 Inspection
The operator must regularly perform the following inspections.
Keep a log book, see appendix Daily
Visually inspect the entire unit for leaks Daily
Visually check that lamps are functioning Daily
The user should also visually check all external pipelines for leaks and
enterthendingsinthelogbook.
Please follow the enclosed operating instructions for the booster pump,
lteretc.
9.2 Maintenance
The availability of the unit relies greatly on specialist maintenance on
a regular basis. Most importantly, you must monitor the drying of the
operating air, i.e. the “dew point” of the operating air. The operating air
dew point for the ozone generator must be below –50° C. This is only
possible if the dryer is functioning perfectly and the piping leading to
the ozone generator is completely leak-free.
If you operate the ozone generator when the dew point is incorrect:
● Its ozone capacity is reduced by up to 50%
● There is a danger of glass breakage and a short circuit on the ozone
electrodes
● Highly concentrated nitric acid is produced in addition to ozone,
which erodes the stainless steel of the ozone generator and can
destroy it over time.

after-sales service team).
According to DGUV 103-001 (previously GUV-R1/474), the unit must
be serviced by trained personnel at least once a year.
We recommend that you conclude a maintenance agreement, which
includes at least one maintenance appointment per year, with your
installer or the after-sales team.
In addition, you should take an additional control measurement of the
dew point during the year.
Duringeveryservice,afunctionaltestofthecontroller,owmonitor
and magnetic valves must be performed.
In accordance with BGV A3 (UVV Electrical systems and equipment),
the unit must be tested for electrical safety every 4 years.
