7. Utilisation and service life
7.1 Recommendations on the frequency of lter
cartridge/lter material change
Optimal water is only guaranteed if the lter cartridge is changed regularly,
ideally every 4 weeks. The BWT water ltering system is equipped with a manual
or electronic exchange indicator, which indicates when the lter cartridge needs
to be changed (operation see chapter 6).
7.2 Instructions on interruption of use
If use is interrupted, please keep the water ltering system together with the
cartridge in the fridge.
In case of interruption of use of more than 2 days (weekends), pour out the rst
lling and rell the water lter.
After a downtime of more than 2 weeks, replace the lter cartridge
(see chapter 6.1).
8. Care & cleaning of the BWT water filtering system
Clean the BWT water ltering system at least once a week with mild soapy water
and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents
or scrubbing sponges, as scratch marks could be left on the water ltering system.
Jug and funnel can be washed in the dishwasher.
During use of the BWT water ltering system limescale may occur in particular on
the lid of the BWT water ltering system through dried water drops. The limescale
can be removed with a commercially available decalcication agent.
The lid including the „Easy-Control“ may not be cleaned in the dishwasher.
100 % product safety – BWT recommends: BWT recommends boiling the lter
cartridge once a week for hygiene reasons.
