To
protect
the
internal
laser
pickup
mechanism
from
shocks
and
movement
during
transit,
it
has
been
secured
by
special
transport
screws
and
a
fixing
screw.
The
positions
of
these
screws
are
indicated
on
the
player's
bottom
panel.
Using
a
screwdriver,
remove
the
three
transport
screws
and
turn
the
fixing
screw
fully
counterclockwise
(as
indi-
cated
by
the
arrow),
before
the
player
is
switched
on.
(Keep
the
transport
screws
for
the
later
use.)

This
digital
compact
disc
player
generates
and
uses
radio
frequency
energy
and
if
not
installed
and
used
properly,
that
is,
in
strict
accordance
with
the
manufacturer's
instructions,
it
may
interfere
with
radio
and
television
reception.
It
is
designed
to
provide
reasonable
protection
against
such
interference
in
a
residential
installation’.
However,
there
is
no
guarantee
that
interference
will
not
occur
in
a
particular
installa-
tion.
If
the
unit
does
interfere
with
radio
or
television
reception,
which
can
be
determined
by
switching
the
disc
player
on
and
off,
the
user

encouraged

Fixing
Screw
BEFORE
TRANSPORTING
THE
UNIT
If
the
player
is
to
be
transported
for
long
distances,
the
transport
screws
should
be
reinstalled
and
the
fixing
screw
should
be
secured.
Before
installing
the
screws,
open
the
disc
tray
to
make
sure
that
there
is
no
disc
in
it,
then
close
the
tray
again.
After
approximately
3
seconds
have
elapsed,
switch
off
—-|l-
the
player.
Using
a
screwdriver,
turn
the
fixing
screw
clockwise
against
the
arrow
to
fix
the
pickup
mechanism
and
install
the
three
transport
screws.

THE

connecting
the
unit
to
your
audio
system,
make
sure
that
the

transport
screws
have
been
removed
and
the
fixing
screw
has
been
turned
fully
counterclockwise.

Before
making
connections
or
disconnections,
be
sure
to
switch
off
the
power
to
each
component.
©
Be
sure
to
make
the
correct
connections,
paying
attention
to
the
L
(left
channel)
and
R
(right
channel)
marks.
Plug
in
the
cables
securely.
Loose
connections
will
result
in
unsatisfactory
sound
reproduction
or

noise

After
all
connections
have
been
completed,
connect
the
power
cord
of
the
main
unit
to
either
a
household
outlet
or
an
auxiliary
outlet
on
the
amplifier.

If
this
unit
interferes
with
the
tuner,
switch
off
the
unit
during
tuner
operation.

LINE
OUT
Jacks...
Connect
one
end
of
the
patch
cords
(supplied)
to
the
player's
OUTPUT
jacks
and
the
other
end
to
the
jacks
designated
by
CD,
DAD,
AUX,
TAPE
PLAY,
T.V.,
TUNER,
etc.,
on
the
amplifier.
Do
not
connect
it
to
the
amplifier’s
PHONO
jacks.
Do
not
confuse
the
right
(R)
and
left
(L)
cords
when
making
connections.
The
white
plug
is
for
the
!eft
channel
and
the
red
plug
is
for
the
right
channel.

AC
Power
Cord...
After
completing
the
installation
and
all
connections,
make
sure
that
the
POWER
switch
on
the
front
panel
of
the
player
is
set
to
OFF.
Then
plug
the
power
cord
into
an
AC
wall
outlet.
