4.3 Clean the coffee basket and lid carefully from coffee
grounds.
4.4 The heating element (recessed) and the nut at the bottom
of the inside should be cleaned regularly. Lime deposit
may effect the thermostat which can result in the percolator
automatically switch on and off too quickly.
4.5 Clean the outside with a damp cloth. Do not use chemical
detergents.
5. Descaling
5.1 For our small percolators, ll with 4.5 cups of water, and
7.5 cups for our larger. Put the percolating tube and coffee
basket in the percolator.
5.2 Let the water boil for 5 minutes to make it really warm.
5.3 Unplug the percolator.
5.4 Add lime scale and let stay for 6 hours. Dosing of lime scale
should follow the instructions on the lime scale packaging.
5.5 Empty the percolator and rinse rigorously.
5.6 Fill up the percolator with water and let it boil, with
percolating tube and coffee basket in place, until the lamp
lights up.
5.7 Switch off the percoaltor and unplug it. Spill the water.
5.8 Clean the outside of the percolator with a damp cloth to
remove possible spatter which could damage the nish.
5.9 The percolator is now ready for use.
Only use lime scale approved for use in contact with food. Never
boil water with lime scale.
