2018 CONTROL SYSTEM USER MANUAL
FIG 1 FIG 2
LINE LENGTH CORRECTIONS
The steering adjustments can be made on the front
lines where they connect to the kite or on the rear
lines in the bar float* (*Fixed bar Only).
• If one of the front lines is too long, tie either an
overhand knot (25mm adjustment) or a figure 8
knot (40mm). If the line is too short tie a knot in the
opposite line. (This can also be done on the Rear
Line connectors if the Overdrive bar is used).
Rear Line adjustment on the fixed bar is made as
follows.
Fold the bar end in and grasp the webbing loop. (Fig.
1)
Pull out the loop until the knots are shown.
Adjustment can be made by loosening the larkshead
and moving it above the required knot. (FIG 2)
Pull the leader line back through the bar end and
check the line length again.
Adjust again if necessary until the control bar is
balanced.
Re-tighten the knot and check your line length again.
Adjust again if necessary until the control bar is
balanced.
DO NOT put knots in your FLYING LINES. Knots in
the flying lines compromise the life of the line.
