The Cadet Electric Baseboard is designed to provide zonal heat to a room by using convection to naturally circulate warm air.
A Cadet wall thermostat is recommended for optimum performance, or you may prefer the convenience of a built-in thermostat kit.
For best results, install the baseboard heater under a window, along an outside wall, or as close as possible to an outside door.
Wire connection is possible from either right or left side of the baseboard heater. Determine on which side of the baseboard you are making wire connections by locating the supply wires.
It is extremely important that you verify the electrical supply wires are the same voltage as the heater.
Model 8F2025 is a multi-watt unit that can be configured for either 2500 or 2000 watts.
Locate wall studs closest to supply wires and position heater. NOTE: Wire connection is possible from either right or left side.
Verify the electrical supply wires are the same voltage as the heater. Check heater specifications to ensure correct wiring.
For Model 8F2025. Disconnect splice/wire connector without the red wire. Connect supply wires to black wires.
Route supply wires to thermostat wiring box. Connect supply wire to L1, thermostat wire to baseboard heater.
Route supply wires to thermostat wiring box. Connect supply wires to L1 and L2, thermostat wires to baseboard heater.
Wire multiple heaters in parallel. Connect one wire from each heater to one supply wire.
Room temperature is controlled by a line voltage thermostat. Turn thermostat fully on, then adjust to comfort level.
