Empty capsules for rinsing
First use, or if the machine has been unused
for some time, it should be rinsed.
With this procedure the internal circuits are also
rinsed.
•Switch the machine on as indicated in the
paragraph on start-up/warm-up on page 22
•Make sure that in the capsule container there is
the empty capsule for rinsing the internal parts of
the machine.
Lift the lever (1) and insert the capsule container
(2) in its housing in the machine. (Fig. 9)
After fitting the capsule container correctly in place,
rest your thumb on the lever (1) and the other
fingers on the handle of the capsule container (2),
and press both firmly at the same time, closing
your hand as shown. (Fig. 10)
•Place a cup under the outlet and press dispensing
switch (3) to start the flow, and when the desired quantity
is reached, press the switch (3) again to stop the flow.
The machine is rinsed when at least 3 cups of water
have been released. (Fig. 11)
Preparation of coffee or tea
IMPORTANT:
Before switching over from coffee to tea (and/or
vice versa) it is a good idea to rinse the internal circuits
to prevent the contamination of flavor between the two
beverages.
Rinse the machine as described in the RINSE section
