If you are using a temperature sensor for the battery II, stick
the temperature sensor to the face of the battery II (supply
battery). To do
so, remove the protective plastic film from the
sticking spot of the temperature sensor and press it firmly to
the desired position at battery II (see description of
temperature sensor). Connect the cable of the temperature
sensor to the temperature sensor connection (fig. 9, 2-
connection) of the device.
Changeover switch battery type
' (&
When the device is delivered, it is set to operation with liquid
electrolyte batteries. If necessary, set the battery type (liquid or gel)
of your battery II at the changeover switch (fig. 10).
Mains connection

Connect the mains cable to the power distribution of your
boat, mobile home or caravan. Connect the green/yellow

female device plug (fig. 11) of the mains cable.
Commissioning
The power supply is operational as soon as it is connected to the mains.
Mains operation on ferries
The voltage of the mains power provided on ferries can be subject to wide
variations. Do not, therefore, connect the device to this supply.
Generator operation
Please observe the methods of handling prescribed in the manufacturer's
operating instructions. The generator must operate within the parameters for a
230 V mains supply. Do not connect the device to the generator until it is
running steady, and disconnect it before you switch it off. The voltage spikes
created during the start-up and shut-down phases may damage the device.
