What to do if my Calpeda e-idos META motor does not start?
    • S
      Stacey BeckAug 2, 2025
First, verify that the mains frequency and voltage match the electrical characteristics on the indicator plate. If the power supply is suitable, check for any blockage of the shaft and remove it according to the instructions in the “Blocked pump” instruction booklet. If the issue persists after checking these causes, the engine may be malfunctioning and should be repaired or replaced by an authorised service centre.

Why is there insufficient flow from my Calpeda e-idos META?
    • T
      tsimsAug 7, 2025
Several factors can cause insufficient flow. Ensure that the pipes and accessories used are suitable for the application to avoid excessive head loss. Check for deposits or solid bodies in the rotor's internal passages; clean the rotor and install a suction filter. Other possible causes include a deteriorated or worn rotor and pump case, excessive liquid viscosity, excessive suction head, or a suction pipe that is too long. If the liquid's viscosity is too high, the pump is unsuitable. Try closing the feeder gate partially or reducing the level difference if the suction head is excessive. For long suction pipes, move the pump closer to the suction tank or use a wider pipe.

What to do if my Calpeda e-idos META Water Pump is blocked?
    • L
      lawsonmorganAug 11, 2025
If your pump is blocked, it could be due to rust from prolonged inactivity. Try unblocking it by using a screwdriver to turn the notch on the back of the shaft, but remember to turn off the electricity supply first. Alternatively, the blockage may be due to solid objects in the pump rotor. If possible, dismantle the pump casing and remove any foreign bodies. If the bearings are seized, replace them.

Why is my Calpeda e-idos META so noisy and vibrating?
    • O
      owhitakerAug 15, 2025
Noise and vibrations can stem from several issues. Check if any solid objects are obstructing the rotor. Other causes include worn bearings (replace them), loose pump and pipes (anchor them firmly), flow too strong for the delivery pipe's diameter (use bigger diameters or reduce flow), functioning in cavitation (reduce flow by adjusting the feeder gate or using bigger pipes), or an unbalanced power supply (check the mains voltage).

What to do if my Calpeda e-idos META does not stop?
    • J
      jeffrey47Aug 19, 2025
If your pump won't stop, the non-return valve may be broken, blocked, or clogged with solid parts; check and remove any obstructions. Also, the stop pressure (parameter UP01) might be too high; check and reduce it if necessary. Check the membrane pressure, if necessary install a tank of at least 8 liters.

What to do if my Calpeda Water Pump functions but no water comes out?
    • K
      Kaylee StrongAug 23, 2025
If the pump runs but no water is coming out, there might be an air infiltration from suction tube connections, drain plugs, the filling of pump, or the gaskets of the suction pipe; check and seal any leaks. The foot valve could be blocked, or the suction pipe might not be fully immersed in liquid; clean or replace the bottom valve and ensure the suction pipe is suitable. Another cause may be a blocked suction filter; clean or replace it. Verify that the integrated non-return valve is working properly.

    Krystal RamirezAug 28, 2025
What causes leakage from the mechanical seal in my Calpeda Water Pump?
    • R
      ritazamoraAug 28, 2025
Leakage from the mechanical seal can occur if the seal has functioned when dry or has stuck. It may also be scored by abrasive parts in the liquid pumped. Ensure the pump casing and suction pipe are full of liquid and air has been expelled. A slight initial drip during filling or start-up may occur as the seal adjusts; wait to see if it stops. Also, the mechanical seal may be unsuitable for the application. Install a suction filter and use a seal suited to the characteristics of the liquid being pumped.
