Arming the system

AUTO HOME ARMING

Enables automatic bypass of interior zones when arming, keeping perimeter zones armed.

INSTANT ARMING

Converts all time delayed zones to INSTANT zones, making them active upon arming.

HOME ARMING

Arms perimeter zones while bypassing interior zones, allowing movement within the premises.

INSTANT HOME ARMING

Arms perimeter zones and bypasses interior zones, converting entry delays to INSTANT.

BYPASSING ZONES (System 238, 238 i, 2316, 2316 i ONLY)

Allows bypassing of one or more zones while the system is disarmed for specific systems.

Procedure to bypass zones for System 236 and 236i.

Arming options

GOOF-PROOF ARMING

Prevents system arming if any non-24-hour zone is faulted.

FORCE ARMING

Automatically bypasses violated zones during exit delay until system disarming.

CHIRP ALERT

System arms with faulted zones; bell/siren chirps for entry delay if EXIT DELAY zone remains faulted.

EXIT DELAY DISABLE

Eliminates exit delay when using specific arming modes.

24-HOUR MONITORING

Transmits alarm signals to the central station when installed.

EMERGENCY KEY

Holding the EMERGENCY key for three seconds triggers an alarm.

FIRE KEY

Holding the FIRE key for three seconds triggers an alarm.

POLICE;PANIC KEY

Holding the POLICE key for three seconds triggers an alarm.

DURESS ALARM

Allows sending a silent DURESS signal by modifying the last digit of the PIN.

DURESS ALARM (Systems 236 i ONLY)

Send a silent DURESS signal using User Code 6 for system 236i.

DURESS ALARM (Systems 238 i and 2316 i ONLY)

Send a silent DURESS signal using User Code 7 for systems 238i and 2316i.

GUEST COMBINATION

Allows programming a GUEST COMBINATION valid for a specified number of days.

RING BACK AFTER CLOSING

Bell/siren sounds for two seconds after system arming.

CHANGING A USER PIN - SYSTEM 238 and 238 i

Procedure for User 1 to change PINs for Users 1-8 using their Master PIN.
