Fixing
Mirror

In case
the
Canon Lens

is used,
the
mirror
should be fixed
upwards
. For
mount·
ing
the
lens,
turn
the
mirror
lock lever in
the
direction
of
the
arrow
.
The
mirror
is
thus
fixed
to
a
position
under
the
focusing
screen. The
lens is
then
attached
and used
with
the
mirror
in
the
fixed-up
position.
Attach
the
lens quickly in
the
shade. The
film
will
sometimes
become foggy
if
the
lens
is
left
unattached.
When
the
mirror
is locked, combined usage
of
the
separate
viewfinder
for
this
lens becomes
necessary.

Do
not
use
the
mirror
lock
for
ordinary
photog
·
raphy
w
ith
the
automatic
aperture. When
its
use becomes necessary, however, release
the
pre·
set
aperture
and
take
the
pictures
under
" manual "
conditions
.
When
the
mirror
is locked, always keep
the
lens covered when
not
in use.
If
it
is
turned
in
the
direction
of
the
sun
without
the
cap,
there
is
the
danger
of
the
shutter
curtain
be-
ing burned.
After
the
mirror
lock device has been used,
be sure
to
return
the
mirror
lock lever com-
pletely
to
its
original
position
. Failure
to
do
this
will
result
in
inexact
focusing
.
