1.17.5 Phraseology used in surveillance derived traffic information and avoiding action is
detailed in Chapter 5 paragraph 1.6. When providing a Basic Service, the controller
may provide traffic information in general terms to assist with the pilot’s situational
awareness, using the following phraseology.
