Before servicing, disconnect all electrical power to
the unit.
When servicing controls, label all wires prior to
disconnecting. Reconnect wires correctly.
Verify proper operation after servicing.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service,
maintenance, or use can cause fire, electrical shock, or
other conditions which may cause personal injury or
property damage. Consult a qualified installer, service
agency or your distributor or branch for information or
assistance. The qualified installer or agency must use
factory-authorized kits or accessories when modifying
this product. Refer to the individual instructions packaged
with the kits or accessories when installing.
Follow all safety codes and wear safety glasses. Have fire
extinguisher available. Read these instructions thoroughly
and follow all warnings or cautions attached to the unit.
Consult local and state building codes and Sheet Metal
and Air Conditioning National Association (SMACNA)
for special installation requirements.
Recognize safety information. This is the safety-alert
symbol A'x. When you see this symbol on the unit or in
instructions and manuals, be alert to the potential for
personal injury. Understand the signal words DANGER,
WARNING, and CAUTION. These words are used with
the safety-alert symbol. DANGER identifies the most
serious hazards, which will result in severe personal injury
or death. WARNING signifies hazards, which could result
in personal injury or death. CAUTION is used to identify
unsafe practices, which may result in minor personal
injury or product and property damage. NOTE is used to
highlight suggestions which will result in enhanced
installation, reliability, or operation.
Should the gas supply fail to shut off or if overheating
occurs, shut off the gas valve to the furnace (see Fig. 15)
before shutting off the electrical supply

Failure to follow this warning could result in personal
injury or death.
What to do if you smell gas:
Leave the building.
Do not try to light any appliance.
Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any
phone in your building.
Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor's
phone. Follow the gas supplier's instructions.
If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire
department.
Installation and service must be performed by a
qualified installer, service agency or the gas supplier.

Insufficient Heating or Cooling

Check airflow, filters, and grilles. If issues persist, call dealer.

Unit Not Operating

Verify thermostat settings, system switch, electrical supply, gas valve, and control switch.

In Case of Trouble

If problems persist after checks, shut off unit and call dealer. Provide model/serial numbers.

Regular Dealer Maintenance

Heat Exchanger

Check/clean before each heating season by qualified personnel. Ensure proper seal after maintenance.

Fans and Belts, and Fan Motor

Check fan wheels, housings, belt tension, and motor bearings quarterly. No lubrication needed.

Evaporator and Condenser Coils

Clean coils by qualified personnel prior to cooling operation or as conditions require.

Condensate Drain

Check and clean drain pan and line when checking cooling coils.
