TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSES SOLUTION
Unit does not start Circuit breaker tripped Reset only once. Should
the unit trip again do not
attempt to reset it again.
Contact your Carrier
service center for
assistance.
Unit does not cool properly. a. Air filter is dirty
b. Thermostat setting is too
high
c. Unit on dry mode
d. Unit on sleep mode
a. Clean air filter.
b. Reset to desired
temperature.
c. Switch the setting into
cool mode
d. Press sleep button
Condensate dripping into
the room
Dirty drain pan and
clogged drain line
Clean the drain pan and
drain line.
No signal output from air
conditioner controller
Controller’s battery is weak Replace controller with
new battery of the same
specs.
