Engine Block Heater (Aspen STA Only)
The Aspen STA model may be equipped with a connector that supplies power for an engine block heater.
The purpose of this feature is to provide power for the engine block heater to warm the truck engine during
cold weather operation. The APU block heater is typically located on the driver’s side of the truck, near the
block heater receptacle.
7.2.1
Connecting Engine Block Heater
1. Turn OFF the APU at the Aspen Interface (AI).
2. Inspect the block heater connector for damage or
corrosion.
3. Connect the block heater connector to the truck
engine block heater receptacle.
4. Turn on the APU at the AI.
7.2.2
Disconnecting Engine Block Heater
1. Turn the APU OFF at the AI.
2. Disconnect the block heater connector from the
block heater receptacle.
3. Stow the block heater connector in a location
that is not subject to physical damage exposure
to weather.
