Operation
The Aspen Interface (AI) is
used to control the operation of the system. When the APU is
not running in
engine or shore power mode the AI screen will be blank. The APU must be started to begin operation.

Starting and Stopping APU
6.1.1
Starting APU
1. Press the ON/OFF button
2. The Carrier Transicold logo will be displayed and then switch to the Home Screen
3. Next the system will begin the start sequence by turning on the buzzer and then start the APU
engine.
Note: There will be a delay of several seconds from pressing the ON/OFF button until the engine
starts. The delay may vary depending on configurations and engine coolant temperature
4. The system will start in the same run mode as was last used.
The APU can also be turned OFF by changing the run mode to the OFF within the RUNMODE
SELECT menu.

Stopping APU
1. P
ress the ON/OFF button
2. The APU engine and HVAC system will shutdown
3. “Shutting Down” message will be displayed while the system powers down. Screen will be blank
when system is OFF.
