Auto Start
The Auto Start feature allows the APU to automatically start when the truck engine is turned off. The
system will operate in the last selected run mode. When the truck engine is restarted the APU will
automatically shut down. The engine interlock must be installed and configured for this feature to operate.
1. With the truck engine off, press the ON/OFF button.
2. After the system has started select the desired run mode.
3. Turning the truck key switch on will cause the APU to shut down.
4. Turning the truck key switch off will cause the APU to start.
5. Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the APU and disable the Auto Start feature.
When the Auto Start feature in enabled, the APU engine will start/stop each time that the truck key switch is
cycled. The APU will automatically start without operator input at the Aspen Interface. Disable the Auto Start
feature and perform the appropriate Lockout/Tagout procedures before performing any service or inspection.
