Reactor Check – Ohming a Reactor
Two checks should be done when testing a Reactor. The first step for both tests is
to isolate the reactor, either by removing the wires directly from the Reactor or
separating the wire harness if available.
Different styles of Reactors in Ductless Equipment
Test 1 – Ohm between the
terminals. Value should be near Zero.
Test 2 – Ohm between each terminal
and Ground. Values should be Open.
