Installation Steps

Step 1: Select Installation Positions

Choose the desired locations for installing the StarJet on the pool edge.

Step 2: Remove Top Ledge Cover Cap

Remove the protective cap from the top ledge cover for access.

Step 3: Unscrew Top Ledge Cover Screw

Remove the screw securing the top ledge cover in place.

Step 4: Remove Top Ledge Cover

Detach the top ledge cover from the pool edge.

Step 5: Route Water Tubing Under Ledge

Pass the water tubing beneath the pool ledge to the furthest StarJet location.

Step 6: Route Tubing Through Pass-throughs

Route tubing through designated pass-throughs around the pool to the manifold.

Step 7: Prepare and Route Tubing Section

Prepare a 30 cm section of tubing and route it through the ledge cover.

Step 8: Attach Ledge Cover Adaptor

Screw the StarJet top ledge cover adaptor to the front top ledge cover.

Step 9: Connect Tubing to StarJet Tank

Connect the water tubing to the 45° fitting under the StarJet tank.

Step 10: Connect Light Inline

Connect StarJet light inline with existing StarGlow lights if applicable.

Step 11: Hide Cable and Tubing

Conceal cables and tubing neatly under the StarJet shell.

Step 12: Secure StarJet Shell

Screw the StarJet shell assembly to the StarJet top ledge cover.

Step 13: Install StarJet Screw Cap

Install the protective screw cap onto the StarJet assembly.

Step 14: Connect 12-inch Tubing

Connect the 12-inch tubing section to the main tubing run.

Step 15: Connect Tubing to Manifold

Connect each end of tubing to the Carvin 4-way Manifold.

Operation and Troubleshooting

Operation: Splitting Return Water

Recommendation to split return water 50/50 for optimal StarJet usage.

Operation: Regulating Water Flow

Use flow valves and 3-way valve to regulate jet distance and pressure.

Troubleshooting: Poor Water Jet Quality

Addresses poor water jet performance due to debris or kinks in the system.

Troubleshooting: Light Not Working

Guidance for issues where the StarJet's LED light is not functioning.

Cleaning: Remove StarJet Body

Instructions to remove the StarJet body and unscrew the reservoir for cleaning.

Cleaning: Disassemble Tank Components

Steps to unscrew the tank nut, washer, and gasket for cleaning.

Cleaning: Remove and Clean Diffusers

Instructions to pull out and clean the diffusers, noting their order.

Cleaning: Rinse and Reassemble Tank

Rinse the diffusers and tank, then reassemble following the reverse steps.

Winterizing Procedure

Step 1: Disconnect Tubing from StarJet

Disconnect the 30 cm (12 inch) tubing from the StarJet unit.

Step 2: Drain Tubing from Manifold

Disconnect all tubing from the manifold and open valves to drain water.

Step 3: Remove StarJet Screw Cap

Remove the StarJet screw cap using a flat screwdriver.

Step 4: Unscrew Shell from Adaptor

Unscrew the StarJet shell from the top ledge adaptor.

Step 5: Disconnect Electric Connection

Disconnect the electric connection from lights or starter kit.

Step 6: Store StarJet Units

Remove and store all StarJet units facing downwards.

Step 7: Set Winter Valves

Ensure the 3-way valve and flow valves are in open position for winter.
