This document is an operator's manual for a range of Steiger® and Quadtrac® tractors, specifically models Steiger® 370, 420, 470, 500, 540, 580, 620 and Quadtrac® 470, 500, 540, 580, 620. These are Stage IV tractors, and the manual is provided by CNH Industrial America LLC.
Function Description
The Steiger® and Quadtrac® tractors are designed for various agricultural operations, offering a range of power outputs and configurations. They are capable of handling a variety of implements and tasks, from heavy tillage to planting and transport. The tractors are equipped with advanced control systems, including an Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) for optimal engine performance and operator comfort. They feature a continuously variable transmission (CVXDrive™) for smooth power delivery and efficient operation. The tractors are designed to comply with European Regulations on electro-magnetic emissions, ensuring minimal interference with other electronic devices.
Important Technical Specifications
The manual covers a broad range of models, with horsepower ratings indicated by the model numbers (e.g., 370, 420, 470, 500, 540, 580, 620). These tractors are equipped with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)/AdBlue® systems, indicating compliance with Stage IV emissions standards. The transmission system is a CVXDrive™ continuously variable transmission, offering flexibility and efficiency in various field conditions. The electrical system includes a battery and an alternator for power generation. The fuel system is designed for diesel fuel, and the manual also mentions the use of biodiesel fuels and organic acid technology (OAT) coolant. The maximum operating weight is a key specification, detailed in the "Specifications" section.
