1.Parkthemachineonrmlevelground.
2.PutalltransmissioncontrolsintheNeutralposition.
3.Engagetheparkingbrake.
4.Lowerthebuckettothegroundbutdonotapplydown
pressure;orraisetheloaderarmandengagethe
loaderarmsafetysupport.
5.Rotatetheoperatorseatintothebackhoeoperation
position.
6.Placethebackhoeinthestowedpositionwithswing
lockpininthelockposition.Ifapplicable,insertthe
Extendahoelockpin.Youmaychoosetorestthe
backhoeattachmentontheground.
7.Shutofftheengine.
8.TurnthekeyswitchtotheONpositionbutDONOT
starttheengine.
9.Presstheemblemendofthebackhoeandstabilizer
controlswitchtoactivateallbackhoecontrols.
NOTE:Whenturningthebackhoeandstabilizercon-
trolswitchtotheONposition,waitapproximately
halfasecondbeforeactivatingthestabilizers,Exten-
dahoe®(ifequipped)orbi-directionalauxiliaryhy-
draulics(ifequipped).Ifanoperatorattemptstooper-
atethefunctionsbeforethedelaypasses,thefunc-
tionswillnotoperate.Cyclethepowerswitchand
waitforthedelaytopass.
10.Ifequippedwithcomboauxiliaries,enablethebidi-
rectionalswitchontheright-handsidepanel.
11.Cyclethebi-directionalproportionalcontrolbuttons
ontheleft-handpilotcontroljoystick.
12.Moveeachpilotbackhoecontroljoystickinonecom-
pletecircle,stoppingintheneutral(center)position.
13.Deactivatethebackhoeandstabilizercontrolswitch.
14.Rotatetheoperatorseatintothedrivingposition.
