Compressiontestisperformedthroughtheglowplugports.Thetestadaptertool(1),isequippedwithquickcoupler
endsforeasyinstallationofthehoseandgauge.
1.Removethetwopinconnectorfromthefuelinjection
pumpsolenoid.
2.Removetheglowplugelectricalwireandwireconnec-
torfromtopoftheglowplugs.RefertoColdstartaid
-Remove—Glowplug(55.202).
3.Removealloftheglowplugs.

NOTE:Besurealltheglowplugsareremovedbeforestartingthecompressiontests.
4.InstalltheadapterToolNo.FNH00120,hoseand
gaugeassemblyOEM1074(2),ineachportandcrank
theengineuntilpressurestabilizes.Thegaugeshould
read2944.1kPa(427psi)plusorminus344.7kPa
(50psi).
