While reception is in progress...
The second hand will indicate the current ••
reception status.
READY (or R): Unstable reception
WORK (or W): Stable reception
Keep the watch in a location where ••
reception is stable while a receive
operation is in progress.
Do not move the watch while signal ••
reception is in progress (second hand
at “WORK”).
Even under optimum reception ••
conditions, it can take about 10 seconds
for reception to stabilize.
Use the second hand position to check the status of a receive ••
operation and to determine the best location for signal reception.
Note that weather, the time of day, surroundings, and other factors ••
all can affect reception.
The hour and minute hands will continue to operate normally ••
during signal reception.
