STEP 2 - PREPARING THE COFFEE
• Place the 1 or 2 cup lter into the Filter
Holder (use the smaller lter for 1 cup and
the larger lter for 2 cups). Or for producing
a larger extraction for a mug of co ee
always use the 2 cup lter and only extract
60ml. Should you require a larger co ee,
add the hot water rst and then extract the
co ee.
• When using a 1 cup lter holder, for
optimum avour, you should only extract
approximately 30ml. When using a 2 cup
lter holder, for optimum avour, you
should only extract approximately 60ml.
• Use 1 level measure of ground espresso
co ee for the 1 cup lter and 2 level
measures for the 2 cup lter. It is important
to use the correct amount of co ee for
each Filter as the lter perforations have
been constructed to utilise the pressure
in the machine to extract optimal avour
with each brewing. (Refer to The Grind on
Page 21).
STEP 3 - TAMPING THE COFFEE
• Distribute the co ee evenly in the Filter
and press down lightly with the tamping
end of the measuring spoon (Refer to
Co ee Making Tips on Page 21).
• Clean any excess co ee from the rim of the
Filter holder to ensure a proper t into the
Brew Head.
