Overview

The CDV-T5 is a 2-wire touchscreen video door station designed for security and access control systems. It is part of the 2EASY series, offering a user-friendly interface and robust functionality for residential and commercial applications. The device is typically supplied with 24Vdc power from a CDV-PC7 power combiner unit.

Function Description:

The CDV-T5 serves as the primary interface for visitors at an entrance, allowing them to communicate with residents and gain access. Its core functions include:

  • Video Intercom: Features a 1/2.7" fisheye camera with a 170° wide-angle lens, providing a broad view of the entrance area. It includes Night View LED for clear visibility in low-light conditions.
  • Audio Communication: Equipped with a speaker and microphone for two-way audio communication with residents.
  • Access Control: Supports multiple methods for unlocking the door:
    • Room Number Input: Visitors can dial a room number directly on the touchscreen keypad.
    • Namelist Selection: A namelist feature allows visitors to browse and select a resident's name from a list to initiate a call.
    • Password Entry: Residents can enter a personal unlock password on the touchscreen to open the door.
    • Access Card: Integrated RFID card reader supports 125KHz and 13.56MHz (MIFARE® Classic) cards for quick and convenient access.
  • Status Indication: An LED status indicator provides visual feedback on the device's operational state.
  • Door Station ID Settings: When multiple door stations are installed in a system, DIP switches allow for correct ID configuration (00 for the first, 01 for the second, etc.).
  • Unlock Time Setting: The unlock time can be configured via DIP switch (1 or 5 seconds) or through the door station's settings.
  • Invisible Keys A and B: These touch buttons can be activated via DIP switch for additional functionality.
  • System Integration: Designed for 2-wire (no polarity) bus line connection, typically to a CDV-PC7 power combiner unit and CDV-BDU (Building Distributor Unit) for multi-apartment systems. It supports star topology with CDV-DBC4A distributors for extending the system to multiple slave monitors.
