Triggers are environmental condions, foods, and/or acvies that may precipitate a
migraine. One of the most common triggers is stress. Coping with stress can be as simple
as having a friend to talk with regularly, seeing a therapist, or scheduling regular, moderate
exercise. Life can be dicult; add suering with migraines to the mix, and it gets even
more challenging. Find some pracces and habits that help you cope with stress and
beer treat your migraines.
Another commonly reported trigger for migraines is food. As to which foods trigger a
migraine, science cannot seem to agree. Studies have found very few foods that are
triggers commonly held by migraine suerers. It appears each person with migraine has
dierent foods or combinaons of foods that may be triggers, much like allergies. To
idenfy if certain foods trigger your migraines, keep a food and migraine diary, and review
it regularly for paerns.
