  • Crossover Adjustments:
    • HPF Crossover Adjustment: (H71000.2/H7900.4/H71200.5D) Selects crossover point between 15 - 350 Hz for high-pass filtering.
    • LPF Crossover Adjustment: Selects crossover point between 35 - 350 Hz for low-pass filtering.
    • Crossover Selection Switch: Allows selection between High Pass (HPF) for midrange/high frequency speakers, Low Pass (LPF) for subwoofers, or FLAT for full frequency range.
  • Vega Bass Boost: Adds 0 to +12dB of boost at 45Hz, to be used cautiously with subwoofer systems.
  • Sub-Sonic Adjustment: (Monoblock models) Removes unwanted sub-sonic frequencies below the tuning frequency of a ported enclosure, adjustable from 20 - 50Hz.
  • Input Gain Adjustment: Matches the amplifier's preamp stage to the source unit, ranging from approximately 150mV to 12V. This is not a volume control.
  • Input Mode Selection: (H7900.4, H71200.5D) Allows using 2 channels of input for 4 channels out (H7900.4) or 2, 4, or 6 channels of input for 5 channels of output (H71200.5D).
  • Hi-Input Connection: Allows direct speaker level input (up to 12 volts or 50 watts) from the source unit, eliminating the need for Line Output Converters (LOCs).
  • RCA Input: Standard Left and Right channel signal input for connecting to source units via RCA cables.
  • RCA Output: (H7900.4) Provides a "Pass Thru" signal to a monoblock amplifier, simplifying signal connection in multi-amplifier systems.
  • Variable Phase: (Monoblock models) Helps resolve issues with subwoofer placement relative to the listener, adjustable for optimal sound.
  • Remote Level Control: (H71200.1D/H71800.1D/H72400.1D/H71200.5D) Allows users to control the gain level up to the maximum adjustment set on the amplifier's control panel.
  • Speaker Output Terminals: Connects speakers. Supports 2 Ohm stereo or 4 Ohm bridged loads for 2 and 4 channel amplifiers, and 1 Ohm mono for monoblock amplifiers.
  • Mounting: Designed with heat sinks and protection circuits, but adequate ventilation is crucial. Mount on a solid surface, away from high temperatures, moisture, dust, and vibration. Avoid mounting on carpet to ensure proper airflow.

Maintenance Features:

  • Protection Circuits: Integrated to prevent damage from overheating or other faults.
  • Fuse Protection: Uses standard automotive ATC/ATO fuses. Always replace with the correct fuse size; using higher values will void the warranty. An external fuse is required on the positive (+) power lead, within 18 inches of the vehicle battery, to protect against short circuits.
  • Electrical System Considerations: Amplifiers place an increased load on the vehicle's battery and charging system. It is recommended to check the alternator and battery condition. A reserve power "Stiffening" capacitor (1 Farad per 1000W) is suggested for maximizing performance.
  • Wiring Precautions:
    • Ensure the source unit power switch is OFF before installation.
    • Disconnect the negative (-) lead of the battery before making power connections.
    • All connections must be clean, secure, and insulated to prevent damage.
    • A secure, clean ground connection to the car chassis is critical for performance and noise reduction.
    • Route power wires away from low-level input cables, antenna, and sensitive equipment to prevent noise.
    • Use plastic or rubber grommets when feeding wires through the firewall or metal barriers.
    • Use appropriate gauge wiring: minimum 8 gauge for power/ground (4 gauge for monoblocks), 18 gauge for remote turn-on, and 18-16 gauge for speaker leads.
  • Warranty: A limited one-year warranty (U.S.A.) covers manufacturing defects or malfunctions. Damage due to abuse, accident, misuse, neglect, modifications, or unauthorized repair attempts is not covered. The warranty is void if the product's serial number is removed or tampered with. Registration of the product is voluntary but recommended for benefits like product notifications and customer support.
