NOTE: This service bulletin may only be accomplished at a Cessna owned or authorized Citation Service
Center.
NOTE: Limitations
and Conditions: This Service Bulletin should not be extended to other speci c airplanes
of these models on which other previously approved modications are incorporated, unless it is
determined by the installer that the interrelationship between this change and any of those other
previously
approved modications will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that
airplane.
NOTE: The Cessna RVSM installation is assumed for all instructions, parts and drawings listed in this service
bulletin.
NOTE: SB560-23-25 (Honeywell 8.33 KHZ Communication Radio Installation) needs to be accomplished prior
to or in conjunction with this service bulletin. If the above service bulletin is done in conjunction with
this bullet
in, it will only be necessary to return the integrated communications once.
NOTE: An electrical loads analysis (ELA) must be conducted to make sure that this service bulletin is
compatible with the existing electrical loads. The installer should make sure that adequate capacity
exists for
the loads being added to the circuit breaker panel and distribution system electrical loads
prior to modication of the power distribution system. Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter
24, Electrical Load Analysis - Description and Operation for the aircraft base load report. Additional
electrica
l system changes may have occurred since the airplane left the factory and will need to
be accounted for in the electrical loads review conducted during this modication. If the installer
determines that additional electrical loads have been added and are not assessed in the base ELA,
please co
ntact Cessna ACMT (Mod Engineering) for assistance if further analysis is necessary.
NOTE: Contact Cessna Customer Support if the installation data contained in this service bulletin is not
suitable for a specic airplane.
NOTE: In all cas
es where electrical bonding is necessary, refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 20,
Electrical Bonding - Maintenance Practices.
REASON
To upgrad
e the transponder to accommodate Elementary Surveillance mandates and add TCAS II
change 7 (ACAS II).
DESCRIPTION
This service bulletin provides parts and instructions to install TCAS II and Honeywell comm units with
elementary surveillance capabilities.
