The Fader knobs can now be removed by gently pulling up. The large encoder (X/Y)
knobs also need to be removed using a small flat head screwdriver or 2mm ball driver,
depending on the age of the console. Plastic encoder knobs require a flat head
screwdriver, whereas metal ones require a 2mm ball driver.
Once removed the front panel can be lifted away from the front panel PCB, as pictured.
Maintenance such as replacement of screen replacement, keys, encoders, and faders can
now be carried out. See below for details on some of the parts on the front panel, and
then section 4 on replacing some of these parts.
