  If you experience a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame on your Char-Broil Grill, first, check for gas in the LP cylinder because you might be out of gas. If there is gas, the excess flow valve may have tripped. To resolve this, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and then light the grill. If the flames are still low, turn off the knobs and the LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, and perform a leak test. Then, turn on the LP cylinder valve, wait 30 seconds, and light the grill. Also, vapor lock at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection can cause this issue. Try turning off the knobs and LP cylinder valve, disconnecting the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnecting it, and trying again.

  If you are unable to fill your LP cylinder, it might be because some dealers have older fill nozzles with worn threads. These worn nozzles might not have enough “bite” to engage the valve. Try a second LP dealer.

  If the timer on your Char-Broil grill does not work (and the green light does not flash), it could be due to a dead battery. Replace the batteries. Another reason might be that the batteries are installed incorrectly. Install the batteries correctly. Also, ensure the knob position starts the Clean Cycle by pushing the knob in to start the clean cycle (the green LED should begin to flash).
