toggle the knob in the same direction
you want the mirror to move. When
finished, return the knob to the center
middle position to guard against acci-
dental mirror movement.
Heated Remote Control Mirrors
The outside mirrors are heated to
melt frost or ice. This feature is acti-
vated whenever the rear window de-
fogger is activated. Refer to ⬙Rear Win-
dow Defroster⬙ in Chapter 5 of this
manual for more information.
Vanity Mirrors
Vanity mirrors are equipped on both
driver side and passenger side sun vi-
sors. To use the vanity mirrors, rotate
the sun visor down and swing the mir-
ror cover downward.
Windshield Wipers and
Washers
The wiper and washer control lever is
located on the right side of the steer-
ing column. The wiper/washer oper-
ates only when the ignition switch is in
the ON position.
CAUTION!
In cold weather, always turn the wiper
switch OFF and allow the wipers to re-
turn to the park position before shut-
ting off the engine. If the wiper switch
is left ON and the wipers freeze to the
windshield, damage to the wiper mo-
tor may occur when the vehicle is re-
started.
Always remove any buildup of snow
that prevents the windshield wiper
blades from returning to the park po-
sition. If the windshield wipers are op-
erated before the snow is removed,
damage to the wiper motor may occur.
Never operate the windshield wipers
when the windshield is dry. Operating
the windshield wipers on a dry wind-
shield will scuff the windshield and
permanently damage the wiper blades.
