Refueling Instructions
Observe the following instructions
when refueling:
• Turn the engine off.
• Open the fuel filler door by pulling
the fuel filler door release lever.
• Remove the fuel cap by rotating the
fuel cap to the left.
• Insert the fuel nozzle to fill the tank.
When the fuel nozzle ⬙clicks⬙ or shuts
off, the fuel tank is full.
• To replace the cap, insert it into the
filler neck and tighten to the right.
• If your vehicle is equipped with a fuel
cap that has a tether strap make sure
the tether strap is not caught under
the fuel cap.
NOTE:
To avoid fuel spillage and over-
filling, do not “top off” the fuel tank after
filling.
WARNING!
Observe the following guidelines when
refueling:
•
Remove the fuel cap (gas cap)
slowly to prevent fuel spray from the
filler neck which may cause injury.
•
Never have any smoking materials
lit in or near the vehicle when the
fuel cap is removed or the tank
filled.
•
Never add fuel to the vehicle when
the engine is running.
