Why Chicago Electric Grinder won't start?
    • S
      Steven JonesJul 30, 2025
Your Chicago Electric Grinder might not start due to several reasons: the cord may not be connected (check that it is plugged in); there may be no power at the outlet (check the power, and if the outlet is unpowered, turn off the tool and check the circuit breaker, ensuring the circuit has the correct capacity and no other loads); the tool’s thermal reset breaker may have tripped (turn off the tool, allow it to cool, and press the reset button); or there could be internal damage or wear, in which case you should have a technician service the tool.

Why is my Chicago Electric Grinder overheating?
    • F
      foleydanaAug 3, 2025
Your Chicago Electric Grinder might be overheating because you are forcing the tool to work too fast (allow it to work at its own rate); the motor housing vents may be blocked (wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and a NIOSH-approved dust mask/respirator while blowing dust out of the motor using compressed air); or the motor is being strained by a long or small diameter extension cord (eliminate the use of an extension cord, or if needed, use one with the proper diameter for its length and load).

What to do if Chicago Electric 91222 Grinder operates slowly?
    • A
      Andre PearsonAug 9, 2025
If your Chicago Electric Grinder is operating slowly, it could be due to excess pressure being applied to the workpiece (decrease the pressure and allow the tool to do the work). Another possible cause is that the power is being reduced by a long or small diameter extension cord (eliminate the use of the extension cord; if one is needed, use one with the proper diameter for its length and load).

How to fix Chicago Electric 91222 that does not grind effectively?
    • M
      Marc KingAug 23, 2025
If your Chicago Electric Grinder does not grind, sand, or brush effectively, the disc accessory may be loose on the spindle (ensure the disc accessory is of the correct dimension and the Outer Flange Arbor Nut is tight). Additionally, the disc accessory may be damaged, worn, or the wrong type for the material (check the condition and type of disc accessory, and use only the proper type of disc accessory in good condition).
