Why does the power cord get warm on my ChimneyFree 23EF010GAA Indoor Fireplace?

A warm power cord can be normal. Check your heater cord and plug connections. Faulty wall outlet connections or loose plugs can cause overheating. Ensure the plug fits tightly in the outlet. Heaters draw more current than small appliances, so overheating may occur even with outlets that haven't had issues with other devices. Frequently check if the plug, outlet, or faceplate is HOT during use. If so, stop using the heater and have a qualified electrician check and/or replace the faulty outlet(s).
