Usage Features
Installation:
The actuator can be installed onto valves in any position, provided there is sufficient clearance for manual operation and for removing the housing cover (approximately 130 mm above the top of the housing).
- Yoke Mounting: Involves securing the actuator to the valve stem using a hex nut, spring washer, parallel guide, bushing, and hex screws. The coupling is then connected to the parallel guide.
- Pillar Mounting: Involves screwing in pillars, securing the actuator to the valve stem, and connecting the coupling to the parallel guide.
Electrical Connection:
All electrical work must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with national regulations (e.g., VDE100 in Germany). The device is supplied with 4 x M20 cable glands. The protective conductor must be connected to the motor plate using an M4 screw and spring washer. The connection terminals are suitable for cables with a cross-section of AWG 20-12 and must be tightened to a maximum torque of 0.56 Nm.
Manual Operation:
The actuator can be operated manually using a handwheel. To engage manual operation, the handwheel must be pulled out and turned. The motor is disengaged from the gear during manual operation. The maximum force for manual operation is limited by the force switches K1/K2.
Settings:
- Force Switch Adjustment (K1/K2): Factory-set, no adjustment required.
- Limit Switch Adjustment (E1/E2): E1 limits "OPEN" direction, E2 limits "CLOSE" direction. Adjustment is done via setting spindles. The cam positions should not be moved beyond the microswitch's switching point. If not needed, E1/E2 can be rotated to their end positions, and the actuator will be shut off by K1/K2.
- Additional Limit Switch Adjustment (E3/E4): Used for signaling intermediate positions, adjusted via setting spindles.
- Potentiometer Adjustment: Factory-set when delivered with a valve. For subsequent adjustment, the actuator is driven to the desired end position, and the resistance value can be changed by loosening the stop.
- Positioning Speed Adjustment (REact30DC): Set using a two-pole switch (DIP1) on the REdrive board.
Maintenance Features
The REact 30E/30DC actuator is designed to be maintenance-free.
- Cleaning: The actuator should only be cleaned with a mild soapy solution.
- Lubrication: Lubricant for the gear and spindle nut should be checked as per the technical data in the appendix.
- Component Replacement: Instructions are provided for replacing the terminal board and the REact30DC motor unit. These procedures require disconnecting the actuator from the power supply and following specific steps for disassembly and reassembly of components like the switching carrier unit, switch unit, terminal board, lever, and motor.
