A dirty print head or platen may reduce printing quality or cause malfunctions.
We recommend cleaning the printer periodically (every 2 to 3 months) as shown
below.
1. Turn off the power.
2. Press up on the cover open butto n to open the paper cover.
3. Wait a few minutes until the print head cools.
4. Use a cotton swab dampen ed with ethyl alcohol to wipe off any dirt and dust that is
on the print head and platen.
4. MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOO TING
4.1 Periodic Cleaning
The print head is hot immediately after printing. Do not touch it.
Do not touch the print head with bare hands or metal objects.
