Pull the crown out to position
when the second hand
points to 12:00 (0 second).
All the hands stop.
When using chronograph, the chronograph is reset and 1/5
chronograph second hand returns to 0 second.

Rotate the crown to adjust the time.
The 24-hour hand also moves. Pay particular attention to the
hand to ensure AM or PM time is set properly.
When the watch shows around 12:00 AM, the date indicator
starts to change. The date indicator does not change by rotating
the crown counterclockwise.

Push the crown in to position
in accordance with a
reliable time source to finish the procedure.
Adjusting the calendar
Adjust the date indication on the first days of March, May, July,
October and December.
When the time on the watch is between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM, do
not execute the adjustment. Otherwise the date indication may
change improperly.

Using the chronograph

Push the crown in to position

Start/stop:
press and release the upper right button

Press and release the lower right button
to return the

measurement if it is not at the position.
Reset:
press and release the lower right button
while the
chronograph is stopped.

Chronograph minute hand
The 60-minute chronograph can indicate a maximum of 59’ 59.8”.
After one hour of continuous chronograph operation, the
chronograph automatically stops.
The current time is shown while the chronograph works.
While the second hand is moving once every two seconds (the
insufficient charge warning function), you can not use the
chronograph.
Correcting the reference position of 1/5 chronograph
second hand
Do the following procedure when 1/5 chronograph second hand does
not return to 0 second by resetting the chronograph.

Pull the crown out to position

The watch stops. All the hands stop.

Press and hold the upper right button
for 2 or more
seconds.
You can adjust 1/5 chronograph second hand.

Adjust 1/5 chronograph second hand to 0 second by
pressing the upper right button
repeatedly.
Each time you press the button, 1/5 chronograph second hand
moves by 1 step.
While you press and hold the button, the hand moves
continuously.
Chronograph minute hand moves as 1/5 chronograph second
hand moves.

Rotate the crown to adjust the time.

When you press and release the button, chronograph minute
hand is reset.

Function Description

The CITIZEN B620 is a light-powered watch equipped with a chronograph function. It displays the current time (hour, minute, second), a 24-hour indication, and a date indicator. The chronograph can measure up to 59 minutes and 59.8 seconds.

Component Identification

The watch features several key components:

  • Minute hand: Indicates the current minute.
  • 24-hour hand: Provides a 24-hour time reference.
  • Crown: A multi-functional knob with three positions (0, 1, 2) for adjusting time and date, and for chronograph operations.
  • Button B (Upper right button): Primarily used for starting/stopping the chronograph and for adjusting the 1/5 chronograph second hand.
  • Button A (Lower right button): Primarily used for resetting the chronograph and for resetting the chronograph minute hand.
  • 1/5 chronograph second hand: Measures fractions of a second during chronograph operation.
  • Chronograph minute hand: Measures minutes during chronograph operation.
  • Hour hand: Indicates the current hour.

Usage Features

Using the Chronograph:

  1. Push the crown in to position 0.
  2. Start/Stop: Press and release the upper right button (B).
  3. Reset: Press and release the lower right button (A) while the chronograph is stopped.
    • To ensure accurate measurement, if the chronograph minute hand is not at the 00 minute position before starting, press and release the lower right button (A) to return it to 00.
    • The current time is shown even when the chronograph is running.

Adjusting the Time:

  1. Pull the crown out to position 2 when the second hand points to 12:00 (0 second). All hands will stop.
    • If the chronograph is in use, it will reset, and the 1/5 chronograph second hand will return to 0 second.
  2. Rotate the crown to adjust the time.
    • Pay close attention to the 24-hour hand to correctly set AM or PM.
    • The date indicator starts to change around 12:00 AM. Note that rotating the crown counterclockwise will not change the date indicator.
  3. Push the crown in to position 0 in accordance with a reliable time source to finish the procedure.

Adjusting the Calendar:

The date indication needs to be adjusted manually on the first days of March, May, July, October, and December.

  • Important Note: Do not adjust the date between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM, as this may cause the date indication to change improperly.
  1. Pull the crown out to position 1.
  2. Rotate the crown counterclockwise to adjust the date.
  3. Push the crown in to position 0 to finish the procedure.

Maintenance Features

Correcting the Reference Position of the 1/5 Chronograph Second Hand:

This procedure is necessary if the 1/5 chronograph second hand does not return to 0 second after resetting the chronograph.

  1. Pull the crown out to position 2. The watch stops, and all hands stop.
  2. Press and hold the upper right button (B) for 2 or more seconds. This activates the adjustment mode for the 1/5 chronograph second hand.
  3. Adjust the 1/5 chronograph second hand to 0 second by repeatedly pressing the upper right button (B).
    • Each press moves the hand by 1 step.
    • Pressing and holding the button will cause the hand to move continuously.
    • The chronograph minute hand will also move in conjunction with the 1/5 chronograph second hand.
  4. Rotate the crown to adjust the time (if necessary after the correction).
  5. Push the crown in to position 0.
  6. Press and release the lower right button (A). This will reset the chronograph minute hand.

General Maintenance:

  • Ensure the watch is fully charged before use, as it is light-powered.
