Driving
Operating limits
The system does not take account of reduced
speed limits, especially those imposed in the
following cases:
– Atmospheric pollution.
– Towing.
– Driving with a space-saver type spare wheel
or snow chains tted.
– Tyre repaired using the temporary puncture
repair kit.
– Young drivers.
The system may not display the speed limit if it
does not detect a speed limit sign within a preset
period and in the following situations:
– Road signs that are obstructed, non-standard,
damaged or bent.
– Obsolete or incorrect maps.
Speed setting
recommendations
The driver can select the speed displayed by the
Road signs recognition function as the speed
setting for the speed limiter, cruise control or
adaptive cruise control using the OK button.
In the event of rain detection, the system oers
the driver a speed setting lower than the speed
read/from the map in order to adapt to weather
conditions (e.g. on motorways, the proposed
speed is 68 mph (110 km/h) instead of 81 mph
(130 km/h).
Speed setting advance recommendations
With Highway Driver Assist 2.0 activated,
the system detects the next speed limit sign,
displays it in the background and proposes this
new speed as the speed setting.
Once memorised:
– If the speed setting is lower than the previous
one, the vehicle slows down to reach this new
speed when it gets to the sign.
– If the speed setting is higher than the previous
one, the vehicle speeds up to reach this new
speed when it passes the sign.

limiter, Cruise control or Adaptive
cruise control, refer to the corresponding
