technologyandspecification.Theinvolvement
ofaCITROËNdealeroraqualifiedworkshop
isessentialwhenreplacingordisconnecting
thebattery.
The start of saturation of the
particlefilterisindicatedbythe
temporaryilluminationofthiswarninglamp
accompaniedbyamessageinthemultifunction
screen.
Assoonasthetrafficconditionspermit,
regeneratethefilterbydrivingataspeedofat
least40mph(60km/h)untilthewarninglamp
goesoff.
Ifthewarninglampstayson,thisindicatesa
lowadditivelevel.
On a new vehicle, the first particle
filterregenerationoperationsmaybe
accompaniedbya"burning"smell,
whichisperfectlynormal.
Followingprolongedoperationofthe
vehicleatverylowspeedoratidle,
youmay,inexceptionalcircumstances,
noticetheemissionofwatervapourat
theexhaustonacceleration.Thisdoes
not affect the behaviour of the vehicle
ortheenvironment.
Whencarryingoutworkonthebattery,refer
tothe"12Vbattery"sectionfordetailsofthe
precautionstobetakenbeforedisconnecting
thebatteryandfollowingitsreconnection.
Dependingontheenvironment(e.g.dusty
atmosphere)andtheuseofthevehicle(e.g.city
driving),replace them twice as often if necessary.
Acloggedpassengercompartmentfiltermayhave
anadverseeffectontheperformanceoftheair
conditioningsystemandgenerateundesirable
odours.
