Oil
Filter
Change
The
transaxle
oil
filter
is
located
in a
horizontal position
on the top
left
front (towards drive axle) side
of
the
transmission,
and
mounted
on
the
charging
pump.
1.
Remove
the
floorboards.
You
wilJ
see the
transmission
oil
filter
near
the
bottom
of the
steering column.
2.
Remove
the oil
filter. Take
special
care when removing
this filter
to
avoid
the
draining
onto
the
floor
of any oil re-
maining
in the
filter.
It is
recommended that
you
first
loosen
the
filter using
a
stan-
dard
filter
wrench. Then,
remove
the
filter while holding
a pad of
shop cloths,
or
other
absorbent material, under
the
open
end of the
filter
to
absorb
any
excess
oil
that
may
drain
out of the
filter.

Install
a new
filter.
Be
sure
to
follow
the
installation instruc-
tions printed
on the
outside
surface
of the
filter.
IMPORTANT
Always
Use
Genuine
Clark
Parts.
4.
Inspect
and
clean
the
trans-
axle
breather (air vent), located
on
the top of the
converter
housing near
the
charging
pump.
5.
Install
the
floorboards.
