Section 5. Operating Procedures
After Operating the Truck
Always leave your lift truck in a safe condition. When you leave
your truck, or park it, follow these safety rules:
• Park in a safe area away
from normal traffic.
• Never park on a grade.
• Never park in areas that block emergency routes or equipment,
acce
ss to fire aisles, or stairways and fire equipment.
Before leaving the operator's position:
1. Bring truck to complete st
op.
2. Put the directional control lever in the NEUTRAL position.
3. Apply the parking brake.
4. Turn the key switch to the OFF position.
5. Lower the lift mechanism fully.
If you are going to leave the truck unattended:
6. Remove the key.
7. Block the wheels if the truck has any
possibility of moving.
