Unpacking And Preassemble
UNPACKING
1. Remove all packaging from the furnace.
2. Remove the supplied tools and parts from the furnace.
A. The supplied ash shovel and poker from the heat exchanger tube, behind the heat exchanger door at
the top of the unit.
BRICK ALIGNMENT
Inspect for any damage. Ensure that the bricks and ash plug are positioned correctly and not broken (see
illustration for proper brick arrangement).
TOOLS AND MATERIALS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION
The following is a list of tools and materials needed to install your furnace.
7/16” socket wrench.
5/16” socket (Best if using a power drill and a socket bit).
Pair of pliers or channel-locks.
Power drill with an 1/8” drill bit to install sheet metal screws into connector pipe..
Sheet metal screws.
Non-combustible oor protector as specied in this manual.
All chimney and chimney connector components required for your particular venting installation..
Electrical wiring tools and supplies.
Ductwork for supply and return air.
Proper Fire Brick Alignment
