Overview

The Cleanmate S400 Vacuum Cleaner is a revolutionary robotic device designed for efficient cleaning of various floor surfaces in homes and offices, including wood, tile, and linoleum. This sophisticated machine is restricted for indoor cleaning only and should not be used for non-cleaning purposes.

Function Description

The Cleanmate S400 operates with several cleaning patterns to ensure thorough coverage. It can clean in a "Random" pattern, moving unpredictably across the floor. It also features a "Spiral" cleaning mode, where it moves in an expanding spiral pattern, and an "Along the wall" mode, which allows it to clean edges and corners effectively. The device is equipped with a vacuum intake to collect dirt and debris, and side brushes to sweep particles into the cleaning path. Power is supplied by a rechargeable battery, and the device includes a bumper to navigate around obstacles. Anti-fall sensors prevent it from falling down stairs or ledges.

Usage Features

Before operation, it is crucial to ensure the dustbin is empty and the filter is properly installed. The robot should be placed in a room with ample free space before being powered on. The LED indicator in the illumination ring will turn red when the product runs out of power, signaling that it needs to be recharged.

The side brushes are an integral part of the cleaning process. They are installed by pushing them down onto the L and R sides on the underside of the robot. To remove them, simply pull them up. It is recommended to remove the side brushes when using the product on carpets to avoid unnecessary wear, as this product is not suitable for long-pile carpets.

Recharging the battery is a straightforward process. First, ensure the battery is correctly installed. Connect the adapter output to the DC jack on the robot, then plug the other end of the adapter into a power socket. A blue light will flash during charging and will remain on once fully charged. If the product runs out of power, the LED indicator will turn red, prompting the user to charge it. For optimal performance and battery life, the product should be charged for 3 continuous hours. If power is interrupted during charging, the charging cycle will reset, so a full 3-hour charge is required for complete replenishment.

Maintenance Features

Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential to ensure the Cleanmate S400 operates efficiently and has a long lifespan.

Cleaning the Dustbin:

  1. Open the upper cover of the robot by lifting the lid.
  2. Lift the dustbin up by pulling it from its grooves.
  3. Open the lid of the dustbin.
  4. Take out the inner filter.
  5. Empty the dirt and debris from the dustbin.
  6. Rinse the dustbin with tap water.
  7. Periodically clean the filter with a soft bristle brush. It is important not to rinse the dust filter with water.
  8. Once the filter and dustbin are fully dry, reinstall the filter and the dustbin lid.
  9. Place the dustbin back into the cleaner. Before reinserting the dustbin, ensure that the transparent film (which functions as a non-return valve) inside the dustbin is correctly positioned. Always recheck the filter before operating the product, as operating it without a filter might cause malfunction.

Cleaning the Intake: Over time, dirt and dust may accumulate around the product's intake, which can affect its cleaning efficiency and airflow. To maintain optimal performance, the intake should be cleaned periodically.

  1. Remove the external power source before cleaning.
  2. Clean up any dirt and dust accumulated at the intake.

Battery Care: To preserve the battery's life, remove it when fully charged and store it in a cool, dry place if the robot will not be used for an extended period. If the battery shows signs of deformation, swelling, or electrolyte leakage, do not put it back into the main body or charge it. Any battery leakage should be immediately washed away with clean water if it comes into contact with skin or clothes. Do not crush or throw the battery. When recycling or disposing of the battery, it must be insulated with tape to prevent heating, bursting, or fire upon contact with other metal. Used batteries should be taken to a technical service center or an authorized recycler, or disposed of according to local laws.

General Safety and Maintenance: Only authorized technicians should disassemble, repair, or modify the product. Users are strictly prohibited from doing so, as it may lead to electric shock, malfunction, or injuries. The battery case should not be dismantled, as this could cause damage, leakage, fire, or explosion. Metal or other conductive substances should not be used to connect the battery's positive and negative ends, as this can cause a short circuit and explosion.

The power adapter should not be used with an AC inverter, as this could lead to overheating, malfunction, or fire. Dust accumulations on the metal terminals of the power plug and surrounding areas should be cleaned with a dry cloth to prevent electric shock, overheating, or fire. The adapter requires an alternating voltage of 100-240 Vac and must be plugged into the socket correctly. Only the original power adapter should be used. The power cord should not be broken, modified, over-bent, heated, over-pulled, or pressed with heavy objects, as damage to the cable can lead to fire or electric shock.

The product should never be used in environments with volatile substances to avoid fire and danger. It is designed for indoor use only and should not be left unsupervised with children. It should not be used in flammable or combustible environments, such as near propane gas, gasoline, or other flammable gases in dusty conditions, as this may lead to explosion or fire. The main body and charging device should not be washed or left in wet or damp environments, as washing or soaking can cause internal short circuits. Adults, children, or animals should not sit on the product to avoid damage. When the robot is in operation, all household members should be aware to avoid stumbling. The wheels or brushes should not be touched while the product is operating, especially by children. The power cord, plug, or adapter should not be touched with wet hands to prevent electric shock.

Unplug the robot from the power outlet when the battery is fully charged to avoid overcharging. Do not disassemble the battery. Necklaces, hairpins, and other metal materials should not be kept with the product during transportation. The battery should not be thrown into fire or heated. If overheating occurs during charging, stop using the product immediately. Do not immerse or wash the product. Do not use the product if there are signs of unusual changes in color or shape.

First-time users are encouraged to monitor the robot during its initial cleaning sessions to ensure safe operation and familiarize themselves with its features and functions.
