■ Always check the device and accessories for damage before
putting them into operation. Do not use them if they are dam-
aged!
■ Do not take the device apart and do not make any modifi cations
to the device. If the device or connection is damaged, these
parts must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service
department or a similarly qualifi ed person (e.g. specialist work-
shop) in order to avoid any hazards.
DANGER – Risk of Electric Shock
■ Keep the motor unit and the connection away from moisture or wet conditions, do not
immerse in water or other liquids in order to avoid electric shocks.
■ If the motor unit falls into water while it is connected to the mains power, switch off
the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to retrieve the device from the water.
■ Never touch the device and the connection with wet hands.
■ Use and store the device only in closed spaces.
WARNING – Danger of Injury!
■ Danger of strangulation! Make sure that the mains cable is always kept out of the
reach of small children and animals.
■ Danger of burns from battery acid! If the battery has leaked, do not allow your skin,
eyes and mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid. If you touch
battery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant fresh water immediately and con-
tact a doctor as soon as possible.
■ Danger of tripping! Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a
trip hazard.
WARNING – Danger of Fire
■ Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable, poisonous or explosive
substances.
■ Do not operate the device on hot surfaces or close to a naked fl ame.
■ Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent the device from over-
heating. Do not insert anything into the openings of the device and make sure that
they do not become clogged.
NOTICE
– Risk of Damage to Material and Property
■ Connect the mains adapter only to a plug socket whose mains voltage corresponds
to the data on the rating plate. The plug socket must still be accessible after the
connection has been made.
■ Only use suitable extension cables.
■ The device should only be used if it has been completely and correctly assembled!
■ Note the MAX marking on the dirty water tank. Do not overfi ll the dirty water tank!
