1 Notes for system operator
These safety instructions are not intended to be all inclusive.
It is mandatory that national, state and local safety and
wiring standards be followed during installation. These
standards take precedence over any information presented
in this section.
These safety instructions must be accessible to the operator
at all times. They must be shown and made available to
personnel involved in the use or repair of the equipment.
2 Operator training
Only qualied and trained personnel should put into
operation, adjust or test this nutrunner control. The personnel
mustbeinstructedbyqualiedstaff

The nutrunner control was preset by APEX. A setting for
your specic screw joint needs, must only be made with
the nutrunner control by a qualied person

3 Designated use
The APEX tightening system is intended only for industrial
use in fastening processes.
→ Use the tightening system only under the following
conditions:
• using indoors only
• only in Industrial EMC limit value class A
4 Personal protective equipment
Risk of injury by being wound up in and caught by machinery:
→Whenworkingwithrotatingparts,itisprohibitedtowear
gloves.
→Wearclosettingclothing.
→Ifnecessary,wearahairnet.
Risk of injury due to ejected components:
→Wearprotectivegoggles.
5 Workplace
→Alwayskeepyourworkplacecleanandtidy.
→Ensurethatthereisenoughspaceintheworkarea.
→Stayalert,watchwhatyouaredoing,andusecommon
sense when operating a nutrunner. Do not use tool
while tiredor under the inuence of drugs, alcohol, or
medication. A moment of inattention while operating a
nutrunner may result in serious personal injury.
6 Operating
→Shouldtheearthfaultprotectordisconnectthesystem,
correct the cause of the high fault current before
continuing operation.
→Neverpulltheplugfromanoutlet..
→Keepcableawayfromheat,oil,sharpedgesormoving
parts..
→Replacedamagedcablesimmediately.
7 Cleaning
→ Clean electric tool and nutrunner control only from the
outside with a damp cloth.
→Donotuseapressurewasher.
8 Disposal
Components and auxiliary materials of the tightening system
pose risks to health and environment.
→Separatethecomponentsofthepackingandsegregate
the different materials before disposing of them.
→Returnthetoolanddefective nutrunner controltoyour
company collection facility or to a Sales & Service Center.
→Followthelocallyapplicableregulations.
Observe generally valid disposal guidelines
such as, in Germany, the Electrical and
Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) and the
Battery Act (Battg):
→ Wasted rechargable batteries must be
disposed of. Return defective batteries
to your company collection facility or to a
Sales & Service Center.

In case of failure nutrunner control and tool can lead to accidental electric shock. Electrical shock can lead to
cardiovascular arrest, respiratory arrest, burns and serious injury or death.
→Takethefasteningsystemintoserviceonlyafteryouhavereadandcompletelyunderstoodthefollowing
safety instructions.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in addition to the above mentioned injuries damage of the
nutrunner controller and the loss of existing warranty claims.
