Removing the CPU Fan Unit
1. Turn off the computer, turn it over, remove the battery (page 2 - 6).
2. Remove screws -
to release the heatsink (Figure 12a).
3. Carefully (it may be hot) remove the heatsink (Figure 12b).
4. Disconnect the cables , and then remove screws
- (Figure 12c).
5. Remove the CPU fan unit (Figure 12d).
6. Reverse the process to install a new fan unit (remember to apply the whole tube of the thermal grease to the
center of the CPU).

Removal
a. Remove the screws.
b. Lift the heat sink unit out.
c. Disconnect the cables
and remove the screws.
d. Remove the fan unit.
